Greens are in great shape! The greens are rolling true and quick. They were in excellent condition. Pace of play was great for a Sunday morning. Tee boxes were descent, but could use some leveling. Cart girl is extremely annoying in that she will drive right up when you are about to hit without any regard for that. Bring your A gameCourse was in good shape, tee boxes were good with the exception of hole 14 where it was a mud pit that has dried out. Greens were in good shape and rolled true. The putting green and actual course greens roll differently though. Course is set to be reseeded on Tuesday October 13, 2009. Greens are absolutely terrible! The greens were so bad at this course they had to paint them green. I could not believe that they charged full price to play this course with it being in worse condition than a poorly managed clay pit. Do not play this course! Course RatingsCons Worst greens ever! What a gem!I have to say this was one of the most fun courses I have played. The tee boxes were flat and in great shape. The greens were in fantastic shape and were very challenging. The course is known for its huge undulations from tee to green and it was fun and challenging. Saw a deer and two turkey on the course. A little mishap from the day before in my tee time, but the course manager went above and beyond the call of duty. The course is situated among Stillwaters luxury homes, only one hole with houses, and just northwest of Auburn, AL off Lake Martin. I will most definitely be back and suggest each of you try it as well. Course RatingsPros Course layout and design, condition was outstanding, staff Cons None Would you golf here again? yes Would you recommend this course to a friend? yes Recently Aerified? no Course Listings

Great Orlando Golf CourseVery tough course. Every green had significant undulation and was tough to read. All in all a very good course with two different layouts comparative from front nine to back. I would most definitely check this course out. $42 for Sunday morning. One of the top golf courses I have played in the Orlando, Florida area. Course RatingsPros Course was in absolutely fantastic shape. Tee boxes were flat and well manicured. Fairways and rough were well kept all throughout without any dry or dead spots on the entire course. Cons The greens were in great shape but there were an unusual amount of unrepaired ball marks on every single hole. A Must Play! This course is in absolute fantastic shape! Every single fairway and green were near spotless and in perfect shape. Tee boxes were almost as good, but the placement for the day was in previous divot sections. We didn't encounter a single person on the course, teed off at 4pm. Better be straight though because the rough is vicious. Course RatingsPros In great shape all around. International Course - ToughPlayed this course on 7/12/09. Most of the greens were in good shape, one or two left a lot to be desired though. For a Central Florida resident $60 on the weekend wasn't too bad. The course is very challenging. You must hit it in the fairway or you will have a very hard time finding your ball. Champions Gate has two courses, the International (Links Style) and the National (more of a US style). The customer service was excellent. I was slightly disappointed in the tee boxes and the actual placement for a Sunday. Sunday is prime tournament condition ready for a course and they did not pick great locations for the tee boxes. Pace of play was rather slow, but not outrageous. Four and a half hours for 18 holes. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wishing to try something new. The resort attached to the course is top notch with a Lazy River, Kids pool, Adults pool and two hot tubs with a few more amenities like most resorts. Good practice course. The course is usually in fairly good condition. The fairways are almost always the best feature of the course. The grass is always plush and thick, but there is very little difference between the fairway and the rough. The tee boxes were recently remodeled about 6 months ago and in the winter they looked great with the rye grass. However, now they are dry, dirt, and in terrible condition, they are redoing almost every single tee box. All in all though this course is pretty easy, and a very good alternative to a driving range for the reasonable cost. Course RatingsPros Very inexpensive, cost around $22 including cart for 18 holes. Good course and fun to playThe course was very challenging with bunkers and water in play on just about every hole. The driving range was laid out very well, but the grass to hit off was minimal. The pace of play was outstanding. We didn't have to wait at a tee box all day. Tee time was around noon on a Friday too. Due to the drought some of the fairways had patches of dead grass that made for hitting a ball like hitting off concrete, but that did allow for increased spin, so there was a plus to that somewhat. Overall I thought this was a great course and very challenging. Course RatingsPros Challenge, Layout, Amenities Cons Drought made for some patchy fairways and tee boxes. Different Florida CoursePlayed this course on February 15th and came away very impressed. Even though the round was shortened by a severe downpour, I was still able to get in nine holes. For a public/county owned course it was in pretty good shape. The tee boxes were green as well as the greens themselves. The downside to those was the rye grass overshadowing the few bumps in the turf. The rough was dry, but was still very playable as was the fairway. This course is tough, has many hills and curves and plays short but very accurate. I would recommend this course for a good challenge and a way to work your irons and short game as the greens are very small.
