Average public courseThis course was your average public golf course. Not for the serious player that is looking for pure greens and fairaways. It's a fun course if playing with the non-serious golfers and/or beginners. Many of the holes are wide open so you can get away with bad shots here and there. Course RatingsPros Short course so if your not a long hitter this is the course for you. Golfed on a beautiful summer Sunday and there wasn't a wait inbetween holes at all. Several holes were very fun and challeging. Cons Greens were in bad shape and running very slow. Fairways had dirt on them and so did areas around the green. Bunkers had dirt as well not really sand and tough to judge when hitting out of them. A great and challenging golf course!There are actually two 18 hole sides at Saddle Brook Resort....The Palmer course and the Saddlebrook course. This review is for the Saddlebrook course. Course RatingsPros The greens were in great condition and very true. A little slow but I would rather see the greens kept up nice and rolling true instead of being all scared up and inconsistent. The fairaways are tight and kept up very nice just like the greens. Same goes with the tee boxes! This is a great course! Cons Not many bad things to say about this course. It is a resort golf course so be ready to spend some money on your round and the ammentities that resort golf comes with. Greens are best in the county right now!I have played several courses in the past month around the county and the greens at Savannah's are by far the best. It looks like they have changed the actual grass they use for the greens and they run very true and quick. Grass on tee boxes on some wholes are a little long and seem like they haven't been cut lately. Course RatingsPros Greens are the best I have seen Savannah's in a long time. Seems like they have changed the the actual type of grass on the greens. Fairways are in pretty good shape as well. Cons Tee boxes were so so and bunkers were hit or miss.
